COMPASS
REAL ESTATE

High-end Real Estate Proposals

Designing Compass; a high-end luxury real estate app involves a meticulous process that develops from Lo-Fi to Hi-Fi prototypes, a comprehensive design system, accessibility considerations, site and empathy mapping, as well as UX design principles and research. Throughout this project, I focused on creating a visually appealing interface that not only adhered to the company's guidelines but also could be customized to cater to the diverse needs of clients exploring multiple properties. The key challenge was to present a wealth of information in a clean and organized format, ensuring that users could easily navigate through the app and access relevant details about each property. By incorporating user-friendly features and a sleek design,  the app was able to provide a seamless and immersive experience for clients seeking luxury real estate options.

Showcasing Only The Best

I met with shareholders and the Compass team to understand the intended use of the app, identify areas for improvement, and address user frustrations was a crucial step in the design process. The stakeholders emphasized the importance of a modern UI design that aligned with company guidelines and could be easily adjusted to accommodate new members, listings, and information for sales pitches. To meet these requirements, I created wireframes that underwent several rounds of revisions to ensure a seamless flow and effective presentation of images and information. By iterating on the wireframes, I was able to refine the app's layout and functionality to meet the stakeholders' expectations and provide a user-friendly experience for clients exploring luxury real estate options. The collaborative effort with the Compass team and shareholders resulted in a visually appealing and dynamic app that met the needs of both the company and its users:

  • Minimal and Clean Design

  • Adjustable listings and members and information

  • Is an app but also a presentation catered to each client

The Process

After meeting with the client and shareholders the team and I were able to identify the main key points in creating this app which were showcasing luxury properties, introducing the team and past clients, and having the app be customizable to each clients needs and tastes.

Setting Goals & Workshop Solutions

The main issue I faced was creating an app that worked like a presentation to clients. and to display a lot of information with a clean look and not have it cluttered. I also wanted to list out each listings amenities and information without running out of space or having it look cluttered and messy.

Addressing User Needs/Problems

Knowing the ideal client would  be looking for higher end real estate I had to take that into consideration when designing. I wanted the app to give off the higher end look so we focused on minimalism, black and white pallet and lots of white space to give the images and text more focus.  I also designed smaller icons with larger target sizes for easy use.

Personas, User flow & Accessibility

After creating the UX mock ups, UI mock ups and finding a solution (drop down menus with different collapsable items). We went to prototyping and presenting it to the client. Once the ok was set it was matching the minimal black and white look of the brand guideline.

Mock ups, Prototyping & Solution

Adding some images, texture (using their signature dot look), buttons and adding listings and images, I was able to create a functional and cohesive design. That showcases each listing's highlights effectively, introduces the team and able to showcase charts and catered client information.
